From March 31 – April 23, enjoy a bellyful of laughs at Federation Square for the very funny and totally free, “The (Very) Big Laugh Out!”

Presented by the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, The (Very) Big Laugh Out has you covered for all your comedic needs with shows running from midday onwards almost every day.

Boasting great acts from right here in Melbourne, to the rest of Australia and even Japan and America, The (Very) Big Laugh Out is sure to tickle everyone’s funny bone.

Local talent and hula-hoop extraordinaire Anna Lumb has been dubbed Anna Pocket Rocket and the nickname could not be more fitting.

Anna Pocket Rocket will be exciting Fed Square audiences with her hula-hoop, trapeze, balance, acrobatic, circus and theatre skills, so bring the family along and enjoy the show.

Another showcase of Melbourne’s talent is award-winning entertainment company Head First Acrobats.

With a style defined by a “unique mix of old-school slapstick comedy with new-school death-defying acrobatics”, Head First Acrobats are sure to shock and stun The (Very) Big Laugh Out audiences.

The Daredevil Chicken Club from America will MC a lot of the main stage shows. Owners Anne Goldmann and Jonathon Taylor met at a circus audition and have been travelling and performing together ever since.

Trained in physical theatre and comedy, The Daredevil Chicken Club will have you and the whole family in stitches!

Hailing all the way from Argentina, manoAmano Circo is an acrobatic group that blends what it calls a “master piece of precision, vertigo and comedy”.

manoAmano Circo members are seasoned professionals, performing more than 550 shows in more than 60 festivals in 23 countries. Its show is not one to miss.

Japanese unicycle world champion Daiki and acrobatic clown Cheeky aka Witty Look are also bringing their unique unicycling circus theatre to The (Very) Big Laugh Out.

The duo has received eight international awards for its performance piece and has had expressions of interest from Cirque du Soleil, so make sure you check them out.

Also coming all the way from Japan is the witty and wonderful Mr Moriyasubanbanbigaro.

With a list of talents almost as long as his surname, Mr Moriyasubanbanbigaro entertains his audiences with a mix of juggling, unicycling, big balloons, magic and more!
