Night market outperforms

The Victoria Market’s summer night market is performing beyond expectations with unofficial reports of a 40 per cent growth on last year.
It is understood that between 40,000 and 50,000 people are attending each Wednesday night, and there are plenty of nights left in the 16-week season.
Some of the themed nights coming up are Lunar New Year (February 1); Caribbean Night (February 8); Singles Night (February 15); Cure MDN (February 22); New Orleans Mardi Gras (March 1); and International Women’s Day (March 8).
Some 750,000 people are expected to experience the night market this season – drawn by great food and unique artisan merchandise stalls.
