New CE at cohealth

Victoria St based health organisation cohealth has announced the appointment of Nicole Bartholomeusz as its new chief executive (CE).

Ms Bartholomeusz said it was a privilege to be appointed to the role.

“I look forward to ensuring that cohealth remains a vibrant, agile and responsive organisation serving communities with the best quality care and experience,” she said.

Ms Bartholomeusz has been interim CE following Lyn Morgain’s departure to Oxfam Australia and prior to this, held the deputy CE role since 2014.

Over the past five years, Nicole has brought her pragmatic and values-based leadership approach to the organisation.

The national search saw a high calibre of outstanding candidates, and it was Ms Bartholomeusz’s strong, visionary experience in leading complex organisations and commitment to cohealth’s mission that made her the best fit for the role.

Board chair of cohealth Kerry Thompson said that Nicole brought a wealth of experience to the role.

“Over the past 18 months, Nicole has provided a strategic voice that’s made a significant contribution to the formation and implementation of cohealth’s ambitious strategic plan,” Ms Thompson said.

“She is deeply committed to cohealth and reducing health inequality in partnership with people and communities in which they live.”
