Getting to know city business
29th April, 2015
Melbourne’s volunteer guides know more about the city’s quirky hidden businesses following an educational tour last month.
Tour guide Zoe McDonald took about 20 volunteer guides on a 90-minute familiarisation on April 13 to showcase City Precinct member-businesses.
City Precinct president Gerard Kelly said such a tour was held every three months to help familiarise the volunteer guides.
“But this time it was so popular that they asked us to do another one after only one week,” Mr Kelly said.
Melbourne has about 400 volunteer guides representing the city in a number of roles.
