Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival from March 31 – April 9 at various locations across the city.

From humble beginnings in 1993 with just 12 events, the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival has grown to now include a program of more than 200 events.

The festival attracts more than 250, 000 visitors each year, so come and experience the best produce Melbourne has to offer.

Although the festival spans to locations all over our fair city, some of the best will be held right here in the CBD!

Taste the island delights of Journey Through Sardinia on Friday, March 31. Head chef Dusty Treweek and the team at Bottega, 74 Bourke St, is putting together a menu of the best Sardinia has to offer.

Tickets are $120 per person and dinner is from 5.30pm – 10pm, so make sure you leave yourself (and your stomach) some room! Call 9654 2252 to book.

Continuing the international tastings is Arbory Bar and Eatery just outside Flinders St Railway Station. From Friday, March 31 – Sunday, April 3, Arbory will host Mercado de la bar and eatery.

Arbory head chef Nick Bennett has teamed up with wine expert Raúl Moreno Yagüe to bring you a Spanish market right here in the CBD! Call 8648 7644 for more information.

Take a step back in time to the roaring 20s, as 270 Flinders St restaurant Platform 270 is transformed into an intimate 1920s salon on Friday, March 31.

Each meal is designed and served at your table and pays tribute to the surrealist artists of the decade.

Tickets are sold in pairs and are $242. There are two sessions, one beginning at 6pm and the other at 9pm.  For further information, call 9654 6888.

Travel to Copenhagen without leaving the CBD at the CPH Street Food Festival!

At 6pm on Saturday, April 1 and 1pm on Sunday, April 2, dance to Nordic DJ tunes, stuff yourself full of delicious Danish delectables and wash it all down with a Danish beer or wine at Dansk, 428 Little Bourke St.

Immerse yourself in a world of indulgence and decadence at the Best of Victoria High Tea.

With two daily sessions beginning at 12pm and 3pm daily between Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 9 and featuring Mount Martha oysters, Port Phillip scallops, wattle seed lamingtons, Chandon Brut and Hickinbotham sparkling chardonnay, you’re sure to taste the very best of Victoria.

The Best of Victoria High Tea will be held at The Westin Melbourne, 205 Collins St in the Lobby Lounge. Tickets are $70 per person. Call 9635 2222 for further information.
