A great time to be in business

By Wendi Dawson, President – Melbourne Business Network

With the City of Melbourne’s (CoM) economy is now worth more than $100 billion annually, driven in part by the growing rate of employment in the city’s knowledge sector, it’s certainly a great time to be in business in Melbourne!

The Melbourne Business Network (MBN) plays a key role in supporting the council and its commitment to the knowledge sector, acting as a key vehicle to provide knowledge sharing.

With a focus on enabling the small business community to contribute to the economic development of this beautiful city, our events are designed to provide access to business-critical topics by leading subject matter experts.

Our most recent topics included “How to Build a Brand that People Will Love”, “How to Maximise Your LinkedIn Profile to Generate More Revenue” and “Presenting and Communicating with Impact”.

Recognising the growth and development of Melbourne’s Business Community is paramount, the MBN hosts the annual Business 3000+ Awards, Melbourne’s premier awards program for local business.

Most importantly, the MBN also creates the opportunity for local businesses to connect.  The number one reason our members and guests attend our events is to learn alongside other business leaders from within our network while also creating important connections and sharing information.

We are now in December, a time for coming together and celebrating the achievements of the year and making new connections for the year ahead.  So, we are seeing out 2019 in style, and bringing more connections your way as we collaborate with two other big networking groups – InterAct Melbourne and Entrepreneurs Founders and Startups – to create the opportunity to network across a much larger cross-section of Melbourne’s business community.

Join us at 6pm on Wednesday, December 11 at Quay West Conference Centre for a celebration of 2019 in Melbourne!

For tickets for this event or for more information about the MBN, go to www.melbournebusinessnetwork.org.au Or follow us on social media using hashtags:  #mbn #melbournebusinessnetwork #mbnbrekkie

On behalf of the MBN team, we look forward to seeing you there and celebrating in person!
