Pantscraper is looking well

Workers at the “pantscraper” at 447 Collins St are predicted to be happy and healthier.

The Cbus development was in August awarded a platinum WELL Pre-certification.

The award from the International WELL Building Institute allows developers to understand and incorporate optimisations to improve the nutrition, fitness, mood, sleep patterns and cognitive performance of its occupants.

Cbus sustainability manager, Lorraine Moore, said creating a workplace that supported health and well-being would attract and retain prospective tenants.

“WELL is moving the focus of the building rating tool world from an environmental and building focus to a human health focus,” she said.

“This is really important in an age where people are spending over 90 per cent of their time indoors.”

“Our tenants are also vying to attract the best talent in their respective industries. Workplace wellness programs help define your employer brand and set it apart from the competition,” Ms Moore said. “Showcasing an intentional culture that genuinely supports employee health and well-being is powerful and can help to attract, secure and retain talent.”
