The audience was addressed by prominent LGBTI figures including Commissioner for Gender and Sexuality Ro Allen and Greens Senator Janet Rice.

Both lauded the bravery of the community and highlighted the need for continued activism and solidarity.

Music and entertainment began with Mama Alto, followed by Mojo Juju, Yana Alana, and an impressive list of performers that entertained the crowd until 9pm.

Event partners included Australia GLBTQI Multicultural Council, Carers Victoria, Fitzroy Legal Service, Merri Health, Midsumma Festival, Minus 18, Rainbow Families Victoria, Switchboard Victoria and The Victorian AIDS Council.
