Australian photographic royalty is on display at Magnet Gallery in Bourke St until October 14.
Called Press Dynasty, the exhibition features the work of father and son, Cliff and Bruce Postle.
Bruce Postle made his mark of generations of The Age readers after moving to Melbourne from Queensland. Many of his best are on display and for sale.
For gallery principal and former press photographer Michael Silver, the quality of the offering is clear: “Bruce Postle is Australia’s greatest ever press photographer,” he said.
The work of Cliff Postle features natural disasters, historical moments and a celebration of the human spirit. Bruce followed his dad into the profession at Brisbane’s Courier-Mail newspaper.
The free exhibition can be viewed at level 2, 640 Bourke St.
